Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo lie in different mountains: Pirin, Rila and the Rhodopes. In Bansko compare the old town and gondola base; in Borovets identify the access point; in Pamporovo locate the property within the area. For a short trip, choose one base and account for the full transfer from the airport or border.
One example in this region is Rila Hotel, Borovets, described as ski-in / ski-out by its official source. This applies to the named property, not every hotel or the whole village. Before booking, confirm that you can both leave and return on skis, check the connecting piste difficulty and ask whether access operates on your dates. Sufficient snow and open pistes are required.

Borovets is a ski-resort base in Rila, while Samokov is a separate nearby town. If you compare stays in the two, include the journey to the lifts. It makes a difference to both ends of your skiing day.

Pamporovo and Chepelare offer two starting points for the Bulgarian Rhodopes. Mechi Chal belongs to the Chepelare area, but your base and lift-pass coverage need separate checks. Leave time to explore the town or surrounding settlements too.

Pamporovo spreads across the forested Rhodope slopes below Snezhanka. The hotel's position within the area changes daily access, so identify the lift base serving it. Neighbouring Chepelare–Mechi Chal is a separate area and needs its own transport plan.

Mechi Chal is the ski area near Chepelare in the Rhodope Mountains. Although it shares a wider region with Pamporovo, transport and operating conditions need to be checked separately.
