For a skiing trip, choose the ski area and then a village serving its approach. For a weekend of village walks, reverse the process: choose the settlement and add mountain time as conditions allow. Arachova, Kalavryta, Metsovo and Palaios Agios Athanasios each involve a different daily journey to the slopes.

Arachova and Eptalofos, also known as Agoriani, offer different village bases for Parnassos. Leave time for the village itself and plan the drive to the ski area separately. Compare accommodation with the entrance you intend to use, not simply with the mountain on the map.

Kalavryta is a base for Helmos and a trip that combines skiing with time in town. In Arcadia, Vytina, Dimitsana and Stemnitsa suit an itinerary with more village stops. Mainalo can be part of that plan when weather and ski-area operations allow.

Metsovo and Anilio let you divide your stay between the mountain and the villages. For Vasilitsa, look at the villages in the Grevena area and check the actual road access. Choosing the right valley matters more than a short straight-line distance.

Palaios Agios Athanasios pairs with Kaimaktsalan, while Pisoderi and the Florina area take your trip in another direction. Seli and 3–5 Pigadia are separate options on Vermio. Choose a base that suits your group and compare village weather with the forecast for the ski area.

On Parnassos, Arachova and Agoriani offer different bases for accommodation, meals and village walks. Kellaria and Fterolakka are the main ski sectors, making the approach side a practical choice. A day away from skiing can be devoted to Delphi, after checking visiting hours.

Kalavryta is a base for skiing on Helmos and for a second day away from the lifts. The Municipal Museum of the Kalavryta Holocaust presents the town's history, while the rack railway links the area with the Vouraikos gorge. Check current services before including the train in the trip. The journey to the ski area is separate from exploring the town.
Vasilitsa.

Vasilitsa is in the Pindus mountains in the Grevena area. Choose accommodation with the route to the ski centre and your other mountain stops in mind.
Weather at the ski centre can differ from conditions in lower villages. Check elevation, wind and the timing of snowfall for the slopes you plan to use.

Palaios Agios Athanasios combines a stone-built village, accommodation and meals for a trip to Mount Voras. The Kaimaktsalan ski area is higher up: a room in the village is not ski-in / ski-out. For the mountain day, allow for the uphill journey and check wind and visibility on the open slopes.
Vigla Pisoderi.

Vigla Pisoderi offers skiing in the mountains around Florina. Pisoderi and a city stay support different plans: the former keeps the trip focused on the mountain setting, while the latter adds time in Florina. Do not confuse Vigla with the separate ski area at Vitsi.

3–5 Pigadia lies on Mount Vermio above Naousa. The town can serve a trip combining skiing and time off the mountain. For accommodation higher up, compare slope access with evening journeys. Seli is in the same range but is a separate ski area.

Seli is on Mount Vermio near the mountain village of the same name. This directory distinguishes the Seli National Ski Centre from the nearby private Chryso Elafi facility.
Plan your day around the pistes served by the lifts that are operating. Another ski area appearing close on the map does not imply a piste connection.

Agriolefkes puts skiing into a trip around Pelion's villages, with Chania near the ski area. For a stay in Portaria or elsewhere in the region, account for the uphill journey separately from village outings. The forecast for Volos and the coast does not describe conditions high on the slopes.

Ostrakina is the skiing destination on Mainalo, while Vytina, Dimitsana and Stemnitsa offer different bases for mountainous Arcadia. If villages and meals are the main attraction, make the mountain one part of the trip. Confirm the facility's operation before visiting to ski.

Velouchi sits above Karpenisi on Mount Tymfristos. Staying in town leaves choices for meals and walks after skiing, with a separate uphill trip to the ski area. Plan the mountain day using its elevation's forecast: mild weather in Karpenisi does not rule out wind or poor visibility higher up.

Anilio is a separate Pindus ski area, with accommodation choices in its namesake village and Metsovo. In Metsovo, leave time for the Averoff Gallery or Tossizza Folk Art Museum as well as the square and restaurants. Elatochori combines a stay in mountainous Pieria with skiing higher in the Pierian Mountains. The village and ski area are two different stops in the plan. Compare the property's exact location with the uphill route, leaving time for the village after the mountain.

At Pertouli Meadows, the ski area can be one stop on a trip based in Elati or Pertouli. The villages give the visit interest even on a day without enough snow for skiing. If skiing is the main purpose, first confirm operation and actual conditions at the centre.

Vitsi ski centre is on Mount Verno in the Kastoria area. It is a separate destination from Vigla Pisoderi, although both are in Western Macedonia.
Select the specific ski centre when planning your route and confirm access and operating arrangements. Compare mountain weather with the Kastoria forecast if your day includes both places.

Ziria ski centre is on the Kyllini plateau above Trikala Korinthias. The centre’s location is distinct from the mountain summit and the villages at lower elevations.
